Field Trip

For this field trip, participants will visit the San Diego Natural History Museum, affectionately known as "the Nat" by locals. They will be presented with a series of activities in the museum which will provide participants a fun and meaningful experience that also demonstrates strategies that could be implemented with their own students at nearly any field trip destination.

A guiding question is: What can we learn from this experience to take back to our classrooms that will show us ways to extend learning from the classroom to the "location" and back to the classroom? In this case, the location will be the museum, but there will be strategies for participants to implement with their students at the field trip location of choice.
