STAR Program- Paid summer research for future educators

STAR Program

STAR Offers:

  • Compensation: $800 per week for 9 weeks + $2,000 for relocation assistance if more than 50 miles from home
  • Research Opportunities: Conduct authentic research at national, private, and university labs
  • Professional Development: Participate in weekly education workshops
  • Showcase Your Work: Present your research at a professional conference

 

Eligible Students Include:

Students pursuing a career in K-12 STEM education at:

  • All California State University campuses
  • All Robert Noyce Scholarship candidates nationwide
  • Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington
  • Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana 

Note: Applicants must have junior standing by January 1, 2025 to apply.

Application Deadline

The priority application deadline is February 15, 2025, at which point lab sites will begin their review process for placements. Applications will continue to be accepted until March 1, 2025.
