Geogebra workshop

GeoGebra Summer Institute

Noyce Scholars and Alumni are eligible to join us for a Western Regional Noyce Network (WRNN) Summer GeoGebra Institute in Los Angeles June 9-13. A limited number of Noyce Scholars from the western region will be funded to travel and stay on the CSUN campus and spend 5 days working on developing GeoGebra activities.

In CSUN’s GeoGebra Summer Institute, teachers and future teachers will learn to use GeoGebra to explore and visualize mathematical ideas. This deep dive into the software will start with participants learning to incorporate existing demos into lessons and then create their own. Teachers will create mathematical objects and visualizations - and learn how students can use GeoGebra to do mathematical inquiry. We will use GeoGebra as a free powerful app on your phone, tablet, or computer and develop a library of valuable activities. Topics from algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and statistics will be included as well as applications to science topics.

Selected Noyce Scholars/Alumni will be funded to travel to Los Angeles, 6 nights stay at the CSUN campus, per diem and $300 stipend. We will spend the time learning all about GeoGebra and also have time to explore the city.
